Vacancy - Electrical Network Supervisor

Your role
In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing a multi-skilled maintenance team to ensure efficient and safe operation of all aspects of the port. You will carry out the Duties of Senior Authorised Person in accordance with Peel Ports Group Electrical Safety Rules for Low Voltage and High Voltage Systems Additionally, you will be responsible for leading minor capital projects, reviewing engineering standards and managing equipment availability.
You will play a key role in developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and tracking progress to address any operational issues that may arise. Your primary objective will be to ensure the integrity and longevity of all electrical, mechanical and civil infrastructure within the port, as well as to achieve lean operational goals and develop a comprehensive maintenance plan for asset reliability.
Furthermore, you will be expected to deputise for the maintenance manager when necessary and collaborate with other stakeholders to optimise overall performance. Your strong leadership skills and technical expertise will be vital in promoting high level performance within the department whilst continuously developing the maintenance team.
What you'll bring
You will possess experience working with High Voltage Networks ranging from 6kV to 33kV. Ideally, you are already a Senior Authorised Person (HV) with a background in the maintenance and installation of both HV and LV systems. You should also be well-versed in the implementation of Electrical Safety Rules and Permit to Work Systems.
You will have experience leading and managing multi-functional and multi-skilled teams of Engineers in a heavy industry, manufacturing, or similar environment. You will have knowledge of DSEAR, PUWER, LOLER, COSHH regulations and risk assessments. Previous experience producing Root Cause Analysis and problem solving documentation.
Naturally confident, you will have excellent communication skills and be able to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will ideally be qualified to a minimum HNC in electrical engineering, and have knowledge of CMMS systems.
